Hilary Duff for President?

I went out to dinner with my family last night. Good food, great family time and interesting conversation. My daughter Rebecca (age 7) asked if there will be a woman president anytime soon. Hubby said that it's possible Hillary will become president in the next election. Samantha (age 5) started hopping up and down with excitement. She said,"Hilary Duff will be our president?" Needless to say, the entire restaurant stared at us because we were laughing so hard. Well, all except the table next to us who also burst into hysterics.

We were talking more about what it takes to become president. My girls were amazed that both hubby and I are old enough to become president. I was saying that you need to be a natural born...that's when Rebecca interrupted me, before I could say citizen of the U.S. Her eyes opened wide and she almost cried when she said "Then, I guess I'll never be president." Took me a second to realize what she meant. Boy was she relieved when I told her that a C-section birth wouldn't stop her from becoming president one day.

Children really do say the most amazing things! Anyone have any stories they'd like to share?
