NEW MILESTONE

My WIP is now officially the longest manuscript I've ever written. It still has a long way to go, but my MG novel is 44,000 words and I've just passed that point. The holidays have definitely slowed down my progress. I'm ecstatic that I'm plugging ahead, even if it's slower than usual.

I just finished writing an emotionally exhausting scene. I knew this would be intense when I first envisioned it in my manuscript, but had no idea how it would make me feel directly after finishing. Being exhausted doesn't help. I can't wait to see what my critique groups think of my manuscript itself, and especially this scene. I wonder if it will have the same impact on others. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
